Following DVD evaluations this film have been temporarily removed and the final polished version will be available to view on this site in mid September. Thank you to everyone who has contrubuted.
What do we do?Hear By Right is the name given to a set of national standards that measure the active involvement of children and young people in decisions that affect them here in Gloucestershire.
The National Youth Agency supported by the Department for Children, Schools and Families, invited Gloucestershire County Council and its young people to pilot these standards.
‘Children and young people need to be involved within the structure and governance of Gloucestershire’s Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership’
(CYPSP)
Active involvement and participation of children and young people is crucial to ensure that the voice of children and young people is heard, which the CYPSP fully endorses:

A 14-year-old girl was viciously attacked by a gang who filmed the brutal incident on a mobile phone.
The so-called "happy slapping" incident took place when Charlotte Debieux, a pupil at Barnwood Park Arts College School was set upon.
The terrified teenager was poked, pushed, tripped up and goaded by a crowd of jeering girls as her head smacked onto a brick wall.
if you was affected by the floods please tell us of your truimps and how things were for you do you think the council should listen to us the people of the city?
Tonight a group of young people from the Hear by Right group got together with a group of young people from YPLAN and chowed down on some very, very yummy pizza.
I suppose I'm just wondering if anyone had any feedback? I really enjoyed it, I definitely think it's worth doing something similar again - anyone with me?
It's just come to my attention that this website has been really, REALLY neglected recently. Please consider the following a little apology and explanation of some changes to Hear By Right that have been going on.

Do you think the government full encourages youths to have a political stance in terms of the political spectrum or do you think it restricts youths to only minor concerns like being 'green'?
I've got to say that I find it patronising the way 'youth parliments' are portrayed and looking through alot of the profiles of candidates, I find that their main policy is as trivial as school dinners.
I think that youths should be allowed to express their points of view on wider issues and be allowed to influence the decisions of the elected government.
